I’d like to make a smoothie for my wife, but she doesn’t like the taste of rum. If I use sweet red rum, strawberries, and maybe a little yogurt to thicken it, do you think that will taste good? I’m thinking about 8 ounces of wine and twice as much blended strawberries.

I’m trying to be creative…
Second part: Does it sound like a drink you’d like? I’m trying to make this a surprise.
Ok, makes sense about the yogurt.

I need sugestions of which red wines to get at the local liquor stores but I don’t know much about wine.
I’m a vegan so I need wines that complement a vegan diet.

A friend of mine makes plum and muscadine wines. Most of the time they are good. But the last batch I tried smelled and tasted like mothballs. He can’t smell it so he still drinks it.
My question is, what is causing this? Also, is there any danger in consuming this wine?
I would like to add that I am younger than he is so my sense of taste is likely more keen. He DOES have a sense of smell but he just doesn’t detect this particular off odor/flavor.

I am 16 right now and my dad allows me to have a sip of his wine when he drinks it, and I usually drink water because I dont enjoy the taste very much. My mom likes it and my dad also does. Do you think when I grow older, I will enjoy it and drink it often? Will my taste buds change?

Red zinfandel, pinot noir, merlot or syrah and the name of the wine?

My favorite wine is a sav blanc or a reisling, but would like to find a favorite red. Merlot and cab sav are too dry for my taste. Any suggestions before I throw out any more wine?

I’d like to buy a present of some wine for a friend, who knows a lot more about wine than I do. He’s a bit of a foodie and really likes a good steak or lamb, so I want to get a bottle of red which would complement that. Not got much of a budget – about £15 for the bottle. Can anyone make some suggestions and then give me some ideas where I might be able to find something like that?

muscadine wine is what i will be wanting to make?

I drink wine purely for the health benefit and because it helps me sleep. Because of this, I drink very moderately and it takes me a week or two to finish a bottle. Towards the end of the bottle, the taste becomes very bad tasting like vinegar. However, since it all tastes quite nasty to me, it doesn’t bother me too much.

Now, I understand that flavonoids and trans-resveratrol are among a few of many compounds in wine that may contribute to health benefit. I also know that the spoiled taste is a result of an increase in acetobacter, a bacteria that is inherent in the wine and will grow rapidly after the wine is exposed to air. The acetobacter increases the concentration of acetic acid, which is what I’m tasting.

My question is, does the increased presence of acetobacter, or the acetic acid make the wine unhealthy, or perhaps even affect the other compounds (i.e. trans-resveratrol is highly sensitive to oxygen) to the point where drinking spoiled wine becomes unhealthy OR are the health benefits exactly the same but the wine simply tastes worse?
But… fruit juice doesn’t have trans-resveratrol which is one of the main compounds that prevents aging and disease, and fruit juice doesn’t help me sleep. Due to the fermentation process, only wine has a significant source of trans-resveratrol. Also, just as an fyi, acetobacter is in ALL WINE, and acetic acid is what gives vinegar its taste. I’m just asking if this destroys the other compounds that makes wine healthy.

For tomato sauces, red gravy. inexpensive. I am having trouble finding a wine that gives a good taste.

I am looking for a good wine with plenty of reservatrol.

My pesky cousin spelt wine on my toys and I’d made them all Christmas hats out of red tissue paper, and the paper has leaked as well as the wine staining.

I have about 6lbs of bronze muscadines that i want to make wine out of.

A friend of mine is looking for a good red to relax with while he and his wife have Godiva Chocolates. For the first time I was stumped and what say. Could use some suggestions. Looking for a nice relaxing wine to wind down. Maybe a spanish Cab?

Thank you.

What supplies do you need and how do you make homemade Muscadine wine, step by step?

Just interested if anyone seen them. I seen them usually associated with making wine.

That French paradox is the wine.. By having this kind of resveratrol added wine will decrease the cardiac diseases and also tell me how much dosage should have daily..
