It should be served at CELLAR temperature (55-60F) not at ROOM temperature.
The best way to do this is to chill it for about 10 minutes before serving
room Temperature
Red wine is usually supposed to be served at room-temperature.
55 to 60F is prime for most red wines.
Not cold but colder then room temp.
Red should really be served slightly below room temperature, more like 60 degrees. It’s also becoming trendy to chill some of them a bit, like the light pinot noirs.
Try the Turning Leaf reds and whites in the boxes.
Red is supposed to be served at Cellar temperature (not Room temperature)
Typically around 55f
Lighter reds should be served slightly cooler and more robust ones slightly warmer
Red wine is best served slightly below room temperature, as it brings out more flavours in the wine. It is also best to decant the wine for a few minutes before serving. If you don’t have a decanter, you can just open the bottle for about 10 mintues to oxygenize before serving.
I don’t know where you are located, so it’s hard to reccomend a reasonably priced brand of wine. I am in the Niagara Falls area in Canada, and some good-priced wines here are Jackson Triggs, Iniskillin, Coyote’s Run, and the Niagara College wines.
It should be room temperature, and white wine should be refrigerated. HOWEVER, I like all my wine to be room temperature, I think it tastes better that way. But my mom likes to drink it cold.
chilled would be better
