you can keep red wine uptil an month
Not for a few months – a few days is fine.
This is not one of those wines that get better with age. In fact very few wines do. Unless you can get all the air out of the bottle it will only last a couple of days in the fridge. Box wines are better for this type of thing because they are in a mylar package inside the box and never come into contact with air so they won’t oxidize and the flavors won’t turn bad. The better box wines are good for a month or so in the fridge.
Wine will stay fairly drinkable in the fridge for a few days. After that, it will keep for another week or so to use for cooking. But, you’ve got the right idea by storing it in the fridge. If you drink a lot of wine, invest in a cheap rubber pump system that allows you to get the extra oxygen out of the bottle prior to re-corking. These are cheap and can be found at almost any wine store.
Your wine will definitely not improve with age after you’ve opened it, and it will taste nothing like it does today in three months. Invite some friends over and drink it this week.
