I always end up with weird purple lips when I drink red wine. Does anyone have any tips to prevent this?

I found a lot of info in *caring* for Muscadines and what to do to actually plant them, but was having to dig to find the *best time* to plant them. Would it be in the fall? Or is the spring ok? If spring, would it be early or late?

This would be for North Georgia.

Please refrain from answers involving one’s intoxication. Does drinking a good quality wine make one breathe better? Does a "good red wine" benefit the heart?

I need to buy a bottle of red wine that can go with every type of meal in my house. Someone said that I should buy a Beaujolais. I am a wine dummy, so can someone educate me?

Cancer cells do not use oxygen to make energy.

They ferment sugar to make energy.

A chemical in the cell allows this to take place.

If you block this process the cell will run out of energy and self destruct.

Resveratrol also induces cancer cells to eat themselves.

It saved my life.

Resveratrol attacks cancer cells in many ways.

I had a party and someone spilled red wine on my white wall. Now I need to get the red wine off! its been there now for a couple of weeks and looks more blue than red now…!!

I recently ordered a glass of domestic red wine in a restaurant. The wine had a wonderful boquet, one of the best I have ever experienced. Upon preparing to leave the bar, the bar manager inquired as to my opinion of the wine. I told her that it was an exceptional wine, but that it could have been cooler. To this she remarked at my perceived ignorance " these wines are never chilled, they are served at room temp" This really irritated me, I can see 58 or so degrees but this was on the warm side. Thanks

ENGLISH IS A STUPID LANGUAGE

Let’s face it, English is a stupid language.
There is no egg in the eggplant.
No ham in the hamburger.
And neither pine nor apple in the pineapple.
English muffins were not invented in England.
And French fries were not invented in France.

We sometimes take English for granted.
But if we examine its paradoxes we find that
Quicksand takes you down slowly,
Boxing rings are square
And a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

If writers write, how come fingers don’t fing?
If the plural of tooth is teeth,
Shouldn’t the plural of phone booth be phone beeth?
If the teacher taught,
Why didn’t the preacher praught?

If a vegetarian eats vegetables,
What the heck does a humanitarian eat?
Why do people recite at a play,
Yet play at a recital?
Park on driveways and
Drive on parkways?
How can the weather be as hot as hell on one day
And as cold as hell on another?
You have to marvel at the unique lunacy
Of a language where a house can burn up as
It burns down.
And in which you fill in a form,
By filling it out.
And a bell is only heard once it goes!

English was invented by people, not computers.
And it reflects the creativity of the human race.
(Which of course isn’t a race at all)

That is why,
When the stars are out, they are visible
But when the lights are out, they are invisible
And it’s why when I wind up my watch,
It starts.
But when I wind up this poem,
It ends.
hey sum of u r taking it seriously …
y so ???…… just enjoy man…;)

I accidentally set my purse on top of a little spillage red wine and now I feel hopeless on what to do. HELP!!!

Granted “RA” is not a common term and I believe that religion, like alcohol, in moderation, is likely to be quite beneficial for many people, in a spiritual/resveratrol sort of way.

Indeed, many people suffering from alcoholism will find considerable benefit from a “higher power”, but it doesn’t typically lead to excess, in which faith appears to turn into a reality-challenged intoxication.

Perhaps RA meetings could be held like AA meetings, in the basement of many churches, right after services.
Would responses be any different had referred to Islamic extremist and referred to meetings after services in Mosques?
Oli- I’ll admit this question appears to have come from a rantaholic. Maybe that is the first step. I should take you up on your offer!
t56- Let us turn the other cheek!
Fireball- that is actually good advise.
Hollie- I agree.
Patio- a very good answer unless your attempting to be a bit silly and/or ironic.
damienbf- "spiritually-challenged" to be politically correct.

Is there any way to keep red wine good for 2 to 3 days. I was thinking of something alone the lines of vacuum sealing or maybe replacing oxygen with nitrogen. Is there any inexpensive way to do this?

do as good as these tv "ED" products, would you scope it out? The stuff is resveratrol and studied all over the world and at MD Anderson check it out.
Wow that would be great pete. Look up resveratrol preclinical and clinical trials on google and find the 58 page deal it has all the info and more coming out. Dr. is aggarwal.

I’ve never really drank too much wine only beer, but now that I have a baby and I’m nursing I can only have one drink and I thought it would be good to have a red wine. I think I would like something on the sweeter side though. Any suggestions?

I spilt red wine all down the front of my cotton dress at a wedding. It has now dried in…what’s the best way of removing the stains?

Iam 26 female. 5′4 I weigh almost 140 but, I don’t want to lose weight. but I want to look younger and I don’t want to be looking older.

I have red wine staines in my clothes and need to get rid of them! somebody help!! thanks.

Some polyphenols like those of dark chocolate, while quite affordable, are not healthy for megadosing at least from usual sources. That is due to the fat content of dark chocolate.

Others such as resveratrol are expensive in high doses. A more moderate but high quality dose is quite affordable.

But when consuming some of these polyphenols the smaller dose means they’re broken more rapidly by the liver and remain less time in the blood causing a loss of some of their benefits. A high dose keeps the liver busy and allows them to remain in the blood at higher concentrations and for longer.

Now can other polyphenols be used to protect them and allow them to remain longer in the blood stream? That is green tea, vegetables, berries, etc which can cheaply and easily be consumed in megadoses without problem, thus providing megadoses of a wide variety of polyphenols. Could such keep the liver’s breakdown enzymes busy enough to prolong the time specific polyphenols remain in the blood?
I seem to recall having heard of drug interactions involving the liver, and breakdown being affected by the presence of another drug, thus prolonging the time in the blood of a particular drug.
I’m trying this for the resveratrol CR-like effects.

In-vitro human cells have shown it can affect human cells. In vivo animal research has shown stupendous results.

But some of the animal tests have used doses that would be equivalent to several grams in human equivalence calculations. Further the bio- availability from what I heard is still in question, and the human liver seems to process it too soon(some say this doesn’t affect its benefits much.)

I know that large doses of resveratrol mean the liver takes longer in breaking it down. If some of the other polyphenols are broken down by the same enzymes, this will keep those enzymes busy processing said polyphenols, and will extend the time resveratrol remains in the blood at moderate doses.

The big problem is are there other polyphenols that are processed by the same enzymes, and thus would compete with resveratrol and slow down its breakdown?

My husband mopped up red wine he spilled with one of my best cream bath towels!!! Haven’t washed it yet as not too sure if it should be soaked in a salt solution? Any tips anyone?

i know it can help, just like resveratrol can knock out many cancers. The japanese use the root of the knotweed plant and here in the states they use the muscadine grape, at the muscadine wineries. You might google "Preclinical and clinical trials of resveratrol on cancer" and pull up the 58 page report. I know the stuff works as a friend was given 3 months to live and it’ s been over three years now and ok. The only draw back is the resveratrol puts more 02 in the system and acts like Viagra on men.

I understand the drawbacks to pot use and if legalized it could be more accessable to kids. But still wondering if they grow their own or the state govenment grows it.

i know that muscadines start to ripen somewhere in sept-oct, but i’m unsure just when they are ripe for picking. does anyone know this who is familiar with this wild grape? thanks

we all know what red wine does to our blood quality right. but i do not know what part of it dramatically? is it the RBC, WBC, platelets?
